Too much!

work to do, so I'll approach one of my
previously mentioned topics,
with more possibly following as the night wears on...

What Makes Cookies So Good
1) they are just the right balance of sweet and salty
2) frequently, they include random chunks of something delicious -- chocolate, for example -- which creates guilt in mass consumption due to its decadence; in small quantities, it is perfect
3) they smell yummy
4) they dip nice in milk
5) they are portable
6) one is a nice, healthy-sized dessert; and two won't kill you (76, however, could give you a tummy ache)
7) they are simply delicious (unless you accidentally get oatmeal raisin when you expected chocolate chip -- not a good surprise, I'd say)
8) if you aren't scared of salmonella, the dough is also delicious
9) they make good thank you gifts for nearly anyone (mailman, boss, friend, neighbor, teacher, you get the idea)

  1. I think that it is rather important to be discriminating in one's cookie taste. Some are just better than others, meeting more or less of your criteria for what makes cookies good.
